Beat Therapist Burnout: My Essential Recovery Tips! πββοΈ
Hi there!
Feeling burned out is a common struggle for many of us! π£
But it doesnβt have to be a permanent state!
Here are some of my essential tips that will help you recover!
π Prioritize Self-Care:
Taking time for yourself is crucial. Incorporate daily self-care routines like meditation, exercise, and hobbies that bring you joy. Remember, you canβt pour from an empty cup.
My favorites are:
Going for a walk with my dogs
Have a coffee with a friend
Watch my favorite TV Show (Just finished Acapulco on Apple TV π€ͺ)
π§ββοΈ Set Boundaries:
Establish clear boundaries between work and personal life. Ensure youβre not overextending yourself by taking on too many clients or working late hours. Boundaries protect your well-being and help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
One example of one boundary that I set in my business is:
I have a home office, which is a dedicated work zone in my home. Other areas of my home are no-work zones π§
Taking breaks is non-negotiable. I make sure to stretch, hydrate, eat meals, and take walks in between work gaps.
I try to disconnect from work at 8pm every day (sounds late, but I have lots of gaps for leisure during the day).
π Manage Your Time:
Use tools like Google Calendar and Trello to organize your schedule efficiently. Allocate specific times for client sessions, administrative tasks, and personal time. Proper time management can significantly reduce stress!

Connecting with other therapists always motivates me to elevate my practice!
